International Student Accommodation
Wellington High School has a group of families who provide accommodation for international students. Most international students live with these families. Sometimes parents arrange accommodation with relatives or friends in Wellington. Students over 18 years of age may live in a hostel or apartment.
Counsellors take great care in matching students with families who will understand and support the student’s own culture and values as well as teach them about the New Zealand way of life.
Contact between students’ families and homestay families begins before the students leave their own country.
